Forty Days
of Prayer
Week of 1/22-1/28
Father we come to you
this morning full of gratitude for all you have done for us.
Lord, make a difference in our hearts so we
will do your will.
We know your thoughts are
nothing like our thoughts. And your ways are far beyond anything we could
imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so your ways are
higher than our ways and your thoughts higher than our thoughts.
Lord, help us to be willing to let go of our
old thoughts and old ways so we can do your will.
We know God that you can
bless us with everything we need, and we will always have more than enough to do
all kinds of good things for others.
Open our hearts and minds to be receptive to
others, receptive to change and receptive to hearing your call, O Lord.
Therefore if we have any encouragement from
being united with Christ, if we have any comfort from Christ's love, if we have
any common sharing in the Spirit, then make our joy complete by being
like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
Amen |
