Duke Lane Class A group of feisty senior citizens who study Bible lessons and regularly participate in all areas of service and missions of the church. Their motto is Old Age Ain't For Sissies!
Recent Lessons Our class studied a lesson from John relating to life after death. Nearly all people are haunted by questions of life after death. Our author states that the life in relationship to Christ that we now live is a kind of foretaste of the life we shall enjoy in heaven.
Moore Than Friends Class A group of multi-age members who have studied the books written by Reverend Jim Moore, Max Lucado and Beth Moore. They support Room To Grow and the Mission Aviation Fellowship. They also sponsor and prepare Word on Thee Street bags for the homeless which contain food and toiletry items as well as Christmas boxes for the Seafarer's Center.
Recent Lessons Continuing the Biblical study led by Tommy Bickel. We learned about the division of the tribes of Israel.
Christian Living Class A group of multi-age members who study different inspirational books and find daily application to Christian living in these books.
Recent Lessons We discussed the media coverage of John Mark Karr eclipsing other news. Was the media giving the public what it wanted? Not our class! Should the church do anything to counteract unbalanced news? If so, what? Are you willing to demand that the news change and publicize more positive events?
Off The Cuff Class -
A women's
group which studies contemporary issues, seeking Biblical solutions to
these issues.
Recent Lessons From our book The Confident Woman we have learned that, "We need to be lifetime learners and we can learn something everyday if we let all of life be a school we attend."

Recent Lessons The current situation in the Middle East and God's plan for all the players in the Middle East was the topic for the day.
We are discussing Islam and its place in the world. I would say we have perfect timing! Come join us....

McBible Class Over 10,000 Verses Read! A group of multi-age members who study different topics in depth. They have completed a study on Grace, Revelations and the Holy Spirit. They are currently pursuing an in-depth look into the Book of Mark--Good News for Hard Times.
Recent Lessons We discussed scribes and a widow from Mark 12:38-44. The scribes read and wrote the laws. They were condemned because of their behavior in this case. The poor widow was a contrast to the behavior of the scribes. She gave all she had to the offering, whereas the scribes were greedy. |
