I
want to thank everyone who made our style show and luncheon such a
success. First, I must thank Jack Hunt, who kept me calm while the
roof was falling in, his reassurance was comforting and he delivered!
The blue light cast from the tarp covering the holes gave a softness to
the stage lighting. Thank you, Jack. And to Bill Douglas and
Larry Davis for delivering and setting up the runway: it made the
day extra special. And thanks to Larry, again, for running the
last minute "pick up supplies" run.
To the ladies
who helped set up and decorate: Mabel, Betty, Ruth, Sue, Lisa, I
could not have done this alone. To Peggy, for helping me use the
office equipment for our programs--thank you. To all the cooks and
our kitchen coordinator, Nina Dimiceli--thank you. Thanks to the
ladies who prepared the plates, served the food and cleaned up:
Leslie, Lynn, Claudia, Sue, Judy and the others who pitched in when
needed. And thanks to all of you who pitched in to help tear down
and get the Family Life Center ready for school on Monday.
To the ladies
who helped the models: Lisa, Stephanie and Mandy--we couldn't have
done it without you. Thanks for volunteering. And the the
beautiful models, YOU WERE THE STARS! Gloria Webb, Judy Calloway,
Marlene Wiegand, BJ Hightower, Betty Lane, Nancy Miller, Natalie Hunt,
Linda Dunn, Kaylyn Merricks and Daniela Motes and our girls, Katie M.
and Isabelle F.--you are the best!
And we could
not have done it without the people from Dillard's at Willowbrook.
They brought three ladies to help us and TONS of wonderful door prizes.
Remember Dillard's when a special occasion comes along and give back to
them. We hope to do this again in the future.
I hope I have
not left anyone out. If I did, you know I meant you as well.
