To all those involved in this year’s UMW Sterling & Style Luncheon, Thank you!

To the WONDERFUL Marlene Wiegand and her kitchen crew, Leslie Doty, Judy Calloway, Brenda Edrozo, Margaret Weiskopf, Amanda Weiskopf, and Catherine Bost, who served us tea, water, coffee and all our delicious courses of food.  A special thank you to Marlene and Leslie for cooking the Tetrazzini that morning; and to all the other cooks, whose names I don’t know, who prepared the salad, vegetable and dessert.  You all did a tremendous job and everyone enjoyed the luncheon so much.

A BEAUTIFUL job was done by all the table dressers, Nancy Buck, Lisa Davis, Jan Dunn, Donna Jackson and Margaret Weiskopf.  The tables were beautiful and it was so nice to learn a little about your style and your collection of dishes.   Some of us have many in our collection.  It was all beautiful and every season was represented I believe.

A TREMENDOUS job was done by all our models, some discovering another career in their life perhaps?  Our models for the day were Annie Brew, Lisa Davis, Teri Davis-Odom, Jan Dunn, Charlotte Dorton, Pat Downing, Judy Green and Gwen Smithheart.  You all looked so great in your fashions and I believe everyone attending LOVED your wandering through the crowd so they could touch and feel.  It was a great event and the models could not have made it without the behind the scenes dressers, Stephanie Davis, Amanda Sheffield and Linda Siurek.  And of course, the fabulous clothes from “Weekenders” and their narrator representative, Marilyn Jordan

The most important thank you of all goes to the “Men in our Midst” Bill Douglas, Larry Davis, Steve Edrozo and Bill Jackson.  They cleared everything out of the Fellowship Hall and set up the tables so we could work our magic, they picked up and delivered the ice for the day, and they magically reappeared at the end to help tired ladies cleanup and put things back like they were.

It was a wonderful day and I appreciate all the love and support of everyone and mostly our UMW membership.  If you had not bought tickets, brought your friends and family and been so enthusiastic over the fashions and food we could not have had such a successful day.  So, I extend my most grateful thanks to all of you.

Sincerely,

     Nancy Douglas
