What Presence Looks Like And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another. Hebrews 10: 25
What a joy it is for Christians to join together for worship and in faith-forming relationships such as Bible Study and Sunday School!
In worship, we celebrate the presence of the Lord among us and we rise above and transcend the every day-ness of our lives. In worship, like no other time, we know that we need God. In worship, we praise and glorify the Risen Savior so that the world might know that Christ still lives.
In Bible Study and Sunday School, we study Scripture, we have fun and we learn together. In Bible Study and Sunday School, we learn to care for one another and for our world.
A young seminarian made the statement that Desmond Tutu was a holy man. When further questioned by his classmates as to how he knew Desmond Tutu was a holy man, he simply said, “I know he is a holy man because when I am around him, I feel holy.” Wouldn’t you like to have others say the same about you? In worship, Bible Study and Sunday School, we become holy.
Please make your commitment to be present in all worship, Bible Study and Sunday School in the upcoming year. I love you, and God loves you more, Pastor BJ
